What the tool does

Paste a Unix timestamp: the unit is detected automatically from its order of magnitude — about ten digits for seconds, thirteen for milliseconds, sixteen for microseconds. The matching date is shown in UTC, Paris time and your browser’s time zone, with the ISO 8601 form ready to copy. Spaces, underscores and decimal fractions are accepted.

In the other direction, pick a date and time: the timestamp appears in seconds and milliseconds. A live “now” counter, refreshed every second, copies in one click. Everything is computed in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.

Limits

Auto-detection is a heuristic: a millisecond timestamp earlier than March 1973 looks like seconds and will be read as such; the “detected unit” line always states what was chosen. Nanoseconds are not handled. The typed date is interpreted in your browser’s time zone, daylight saving included.
