How the bonus is worked out

The activity bonus starts from a flat amount — €638.28 for a single person as of 1 April 2026 — increased with household composition: +50% for the second person, +30% per additional person, +40% per child from the third onwards. A single parent has a specific scale: 128.412% of the base amount, plus 42.804% per dependent child.

To this are added 59.85% of the household’s work income and a bonus computed worker by worker: nil up to €726.29 of monthly income, then rising, capped at €240.63 from €1,698.78. The household’s resources are then deducted — income, other resources and, for homeowners or people housed for free, a housing lump sum. Below €15, no bonus is paid.

What the estimate leaves out

The CAF works on the average of the last three declared months and on the 'net social' amount shown on payslips, then fixes the amount for a quarter. This tool reasons on a typical month: the amount actually paid may differ.

Family benefits, housing aid, student, apprentice and self-employed situations, the single-parent top-up conditions and the Mayotte scale are not modelled. This is an indicative estimate, not advice: only the CAF (or MSA) decision is binding.
